Limited edition
1995, at Pyramid Atlantic, Inc. in Riverdale, MD, I created this broadside, set in Bembo type, using a Vandercook 4T proofing press. The hand pulled paper was made during my U.S. National Park residency at Glen Echo Park, MD at “Dancing Paper Studio”, and is made of 100% cotton rag with flower inclusions. The each dingbat is hand-colored.
2020, during the height of the primary COVID-19 outbreak, I decided to re-create the effect and direction of the verse. The inkjet printer was used to overprint the central phrase; collage followed. Each broadside is printed and collaged individually.
